Ecchanna Dairy Services was founded on 26 June 2017 by B.H. Harikrishna Thodinnaya, his wife Sowmyashri, and supported by his sister B. Veena.

“Ecchanna” was the affectionate nickname of our beloved father, Late Sri Laxminarayana Thodinnaya (Retd. Principal, Training Center, LIC of India). He always dreamed of returning to our homeland in Pakshikere (near Surathkal, Mangalore) to practice organic farming and support traditional Indian ways of life. After his passing, Harikrishna and Veena decided to honor that vision by starting Ecchanna Dairy – a small but dedicated effort to revive desi cow breeds, produce truly pure milk, and make it accessible and affordable for families in Mangalore and Surathkal.

We focus on kaat petta (local desi cows), Gir, and Malnad Gidda breeds – known for their A2 milk that is easier to digest, richer in nutrients, and aligned with Ayurvedic wisdom. Our cows are cared for ethically and traditionally, with no chemicals, hormones, or shortcuts. The result? Fresh, creamy milk that boosts immunity, supports heart health, strengthens bones, and brings back the natural taste many of us remember from childhood.
